I just came home from a loooong night out. I hadn’t done any writing, nothing useful at all (blame Michael Crichton). So under three beers and something-dunno-what, I’m staggering to the car, and my husband says, how much can you do? Can you do ten words? Ten-and-a-half? Can you do half of a word?
And I said, yes, of course I can do half a word.
I ended up with 268 words that moved the conflict forward.

I know my husband meant to be a tease, and a nasty guy pushing me when I’m clearly not up for anything, but…thanks.

Yesterday, I sorta digressed from my image of a decent mother and wife. Well, but it was fun and I managed to write 600+ words too, so everything is shiny.
Today, I’ll be happy to do anything at all; the upcoming scene is an “I’m listening to Trent Reznor to get in the right mood” type and I haven’t been writing anything remotely like this for a long, long time. Come to think of it, I haven’t written anything remotely like this since “Metal” (a fairly good stage play about severely broken relationships), and “Metal” was written before I even met my husband.

Love does things like that: mine asked me whether it was OK to drop the scary moods and brooding and writing along with it to be together with the man I love, and I said yes; and it took more than three years to figure out the way to be somewhat stable emotionally and keep writing.
Now, my husband is checking my wordcount before he’s checking my beercount. I still don’t know what to make of it.

I did 800+ words today and am now wondering (again) what do all non-writers do with their spare time. I’ve been reading (but how much erotically charged fiction is one able to swallow in a mouthful?) and poking around the net, and now, well, I’m a bit at loss.
Light beer 1:1 with Sprite is a blast too. The bartender at my local bar said that all the girly beer shakes that I enjoy so much are made by this recipe (plus a random add-on like lemon or grapefruit, or whatnot), and now I’m trying it out, and so it is.
What else? Nothing, maybe just howling with laughter watching Lemony Snicket on tape.
